Selecting the right racking option is one of the most important, but often overlooked, considerations in designing and purchasing a cabinet. Wineries frequently develop new and unique bottle designs, providing a challenge for how to best configure the racks while maximizing storage.
Progressive Plus Racking
Our newest wood racking is designed to accommodate a large variety of new and unique sized bottles, which is the current trend among many wine producers. There is a balance between maximizing bottle storage and having the flexibility of storing a variety of the new size bottles that wineries routinely introduce to enhance their packaging. Through years of listening to our customers needs, we believe our new Progressive plus racking offers the best solution to meet these challenges. The inside slots are 3.5 inch wide progressive racking, tailored to hold your Bordeaux, Chardonnay, or tapered bottles. On the outside, we have progressively wider racking at 3.75 inches for your larger pinot noir or champagne bottles, but these racks will still hold a smaller Bordeaux bottle very securely. At the bottom of the cabinet we have 8 inches of bulk storage for magnums and splits, special wine boxes, anything oversized that you want to store in the cabinet.

The pride of collecting those special wines can be admired without the need to handle each bottle individually. Display racking one row of bottles horizontally across the cabinet.
High Capacity Metal Racking
Vinotheque has traditionally offered only wood racking. After many years of working with customers and recognizing their changing bottle size storage needs, as well as the ever changing size and shapes of new bottles, we have come to the conclusion that the best design for a cabinet would be to offer a rack which maximizes capacity and is adjustable to changing needs. The Wine Reservoir, Studio, and the Villa Series cabinets feature highly versatile and practical metal shelves instead of the more traditional and limited wood racking. There are significant advantages of our high capacity metal racking.
